Subconscious Diet

If you go to a dietitian or doctor, you are given good recommendations and meal plans, but then you still cannot follow them, cannot get up from the couch and move, if the other voice speaking inside us keeps sabotaging us, if you are one of those who signs up for a gym but never goes, if you keep eating uncontrollably even when you are full, it means you have not been able to convince your subconscious, the chief of your brain.

Would you like to learn ways to convince the subconscious?

Why Can’t We Do What We Know?

It is not enough for the conscious mind to know; you also need to convince the subconscious, or in psychology the unconscious, so that the two can walk arm in arm together. We may know many things, but why can’t we do them? Because the subconscious thinks differently about this.

For example, there are many doctors who know how harmful cigarettes are and still smoke. You know, that other side inside us that speaks? That is the subconscious Yunus Emre referred to in his saying There is another me within me.

bildiklerimizi-neden-yapamiyoruz

In a smoking cessation session, my client said the smell of cigarettes affected him deeply and that he simply could not quit. During the session, he realized that the smell of cigarettes reminded him of a time when he was seven years old and visiting his father. His father was in the tobacco trade, and among bales of tobacco he remembered the times when his father paid attention to him and they had a good time together. While his conscious mind was saying cigarettes are harmful, his subconscious mind was recalling those moments of spending quality time with his father through the smell of cigarettes. When I asked another client, who repeatedly lost and regained weight, how she felt when she lost weight, the first thing that came to mind was what her grandmother, who raised and loved her very much, used to say: With those twig-like legs and that face with bones sticking out, no one will love you. Unfortunately, whatever the subconscious mind says usually happens; most of the time, it wins the match.

The yo-yo diets where weight is lost and regained, emotional hunger that makes you eat even when you are full, the jar of chocolate you eat when you are anxious or happy, the decisions that are always said to start on Monday but are often postponed, all stem from emotions and beliefs in the subconscious.

While the conscious mind deals with abstract things, the subconscious deals with emotions and beliefs, and emotional recordings leave bigger traces in our brain and are remembered more easily. For example, imagine the conscious mind saying, obesity causes many illnesses, while the subconscious mind reminds you of the taste of profiteroles, the beauty of flowing chocolate, and the image itself. Which is more powerful? The result is obvious. Decisions are always made by the subconscious; consciousness joins in afterward. In this way, we feel as if we are the ones making the decisions.

Excuse-Generating Center

Maybe we cannot tie our shoelaces because of our weight, or we have heart disease or diabetes, or we do not like our appearance and know we should diet and exercise, but then we become experts at finding excuses not to do it.

That is why, if you want to communicate with your subconscious for change and lose weight in a healthy and lasting way, you can benefit from Hypnotherapy.

Being overweight may stem from many physical, mental, and emotional reasons.

There may be physical and hormonal reasons such as diabetes, thyroid insufficiency, insomnia, skipping breakfast, skipping meals, drinking too little water, excessive carbonated-acidic drinks, and fast food; as well as mental and emotional reasons such as stress, anxiety, sadness, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, and beliefs of inadequacy.

I think the most important ones are the mental and emotional causes. Just as people store flour, sugar, and legumes in war or chaos to survive, our body also tends to store fat during times of stress.

I prefer using the phrase healthy eating instead of the word diet. Because for the subconscious, words like regimen and diet generally contain negative associations. They describe a period in which we will stay away from things we love, and one day it will definitely end.

I will talk to you about a program that you can easily apply for life and see as a new lifestyle.

The biggest causes of uncontrolled eating are usually emotional causes and are hidden in the subconscious. Negative emotions such as stress, tension, anxiety, guilt, and anger can cause overeating. Some people try to suppress these negative emotions with food. On the other hand, eating is pleasurable, and we have positive memories related to it in our subconscious since childhood. Birthdays mean cake, weddings are unthinkable without food, and Sunday breakfasts with the whole family mean love and peaceful moments. In this case, the subconscious may make you eat to recreate these moments more often. Sometimes it may even make you eat to please your parents or avoid upsetting them. Subconscious work is a very effective method for reaching goals related to your eating habits and maintaining those goals.

I also recommend asking yourself these questions:

  • What are my biggest stresses, angers, and resentments? Whom or what am I angry at?
  • Am I angry at myself?
  • How much do they affect me?
  • Can I manage stress?
  • What am I doing for this?
  • Are there things I feel guilty about?
  • Do I feel valuable and adequate?
  • Do I constantly criticize myself?
  • Am I grateful for what I have?

Some people try to relax in unhealthy ways such as smoking, drinking alcohol, overeating uncontrollably, or over-exercising. When they learn to relax and reduce stress through subconscious-focused practices such as Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), meditation, prayer, affirmations, forgiveness sessions, phytotherapy (some herbal supports), and breathing techniques, I observe that they no longer feel the need for cigarettes and alcohol, and because they resolve the mental and emotional causes of uncontrolled eating, they lose weight.

Of course, what needs to be done for healthy and lasting weight loss is clear: regular eating, regular movement, good sleep, and reducing stress. But if you cannot get your subconscious to accept these decisions, your chance of success is low. Even if you lose weight, you will gain it back.

Wishing you purification in every way, especially emotionally and spiritually, and a return to your ideal weight. Goodbye…
