Hypnotherapy Support for Stress Management

I think stress is the most important illness of our age. Because it is among the leading causes of many diseases across a wide spectrum, from the flu to heart diseases, even to cancer. It can also cause anger, worry, chronic fatigue, insomnia, inability to concentrate, difficulties in remembering, and even weight gain. Death from heart attack in stressed people is unfortunately five times higher. In every area of life, even in primary school, at university, at the workplace, we are constantly face to face with stress. This chronic stress can make us unhappy, anxious, and can drain our energy. It can reduce our creativity. It can cause us to get sick more easily. It can increase our aging. Unfortunately, it is like the main actor of these situations. Even those who receive high education do not, in my opinion, know stress well enough and cannot manage it. Because we received very long educations, but unfortunately we did not receive stress management trainings. Therefore many people try to relax with smoking, overeating, excessive sports. They try to relax with wrong methods. That is why, I think the training that should be taken first is stress management training.

Stress is a function that arose from the need of early humans to be ready to enter a fight or flight situation in the face of danger. It is actually a response our body gives against strain. So in this situation, our pulse accelerates. The muscles tense. Our breath accelerates; the body prepares to fight or flee. Perhaps humankind survived thanks to this, by fleeing or fighting. In those times, this extreme stress state lasted shorter. And the body could return to a calm state in a short time. But today, traffic stress, anxieties, angers, worries, sadness—these emotions last much longer and because they keep us constantly on alert, our whole body and soul wear out. Of course, we all want a life without stress, but unfortunately this is not very possible. A little stress can sometimes even be beneficial. Because stress increases our motivation. But as the duration of stress increases and as stress extends, unfortunately it causes destruction. By accepting that stress is a part of our daily life, we can learn to manage it.

And hypnotherapy is a very effective method to manage stress. With hypnotherapy, the real subconscious reasons of stress are found. The person is given the habit of relaxation, loosening, doing regular exercise. Permanently. Regular nutrition and breathing exercises can also be taught. And this is made into a habit. As you know, when we are sad, when we are anxious, the breath becomes broken and settles in the face. In this situation, when we take deep breaths and exhale slowly, and while exhaling, with suggestions like “relaxed, more relaxed, loosening, loosening, I am loosening even more,” more permanent relaxation can be taught through therapy. If we also have irrational thoughts that cause us to give emotional and behavioral reactions in the face of negative events, these can also be permanently changed with hypnotherapy. The habit of using time better, not postponing, doing our tasks on time can also be reinforced with hypnosis. Thus, with hypnotherapy, we can manage stress better. We can be more peaceful, healthier, happier.
