Quitting Smoking Permanently with Hypnosis

Smoking addiction is a strong addiction that has settled into the subconscious and become automatic. Every thought and behavior recorded in the subconscious, especially if repeated more than twenty-one times, becomes automatic and is recorded very seriously into the subconscious. In the past, our ancestors used to say that if we called someone smart forty times, they would become smart. Now it is twenty-one times, and we call this the twenty-one rule. Every thought repeated twenty-one times settles into the subconscious and the brain now works automatically from there. Smoking is such an addiction. Many things remind you to smoke, for example after meals, when you get into the car, while working, many things remind you to smoke. Hypnosis is the most effective way to get out of this autopilot, and you can quit smoking with hypnosis without getting bored or overwhelmed. Actually, I liken hypnotherapy to drying up the swamp. We cannot finish it by killing mosquitoes. We need to dry up the swamp. In fact, this swamp can produce mosquitoes, flies, green flies, and many other problems as well. That is why I believe it is very important to dry up this swamp. Regarding smoking, the things recorded into our subconscious are very, very important. If you have recorded smoking in your subconscious as a pleasure, a friend, a companion, a tool for socializing, it is very difficult for you to become free from smoking without changing these. In hypnosis, it changes these. It talks about the meaning of smoking, its emotion, and in what sense you recorded smoking into your subconscious. Recently, I had helped a doctor friend quit smoking. When he came to the session, when I asked why he wanted to quit smoking, he said that he was now ashamed in front of patients. He recommends patients to quit smoking, but he smokes himself, and this was creating a very serious distress in him. This, of course, is the part he explained, the part that consciousness explained. Because the conscious part of our brain is one percent. The function of the cortical, the shell part of our brain. Ninety-nine percent of the work is the subconscious. All automated behaviors, our emotions, our feelings are the product of the subconscious. When I took him into hypnosis to learn what the subconscious has learned and knows about smoking, he said this: “Smoking is my best friend and I enjoy smoking very much.” Since I had learned a few sessions before that his father had died of lung cancer related to smoking, I approached it in the session like this: You love your father, don’t you? He said yes. Do you miss your father? Yes. Well, as a doctor, you know the causes of lung cancer very well. And you define something that took away the person who loves you as “my best friend.” Do you still think like this? When I said this, his eyes filled with tears and he started crying. Would you like to define smoking as your best enemy now? When I said that, he said yes. Here, hypnosis is such a formatting tool in the subconscious. When I turned my best friend into my biggest enemy, then I can become free from smoking. Smoking may also have been recorded as pleasure in the subconscious. These can be changed and hypnosis provides this. It changes the meaning and emotion of smoking. When we quit smoking, many people fear that they will gain weight. With hypnotic suggestions, this is also eliminated. And with all this, with a holistic perspective, and with hypnotherapy, which I think is the strongest psychotherapy method, you too can become free from smoking. Goodbye.
